Luxurious Villa Retreat

This dated 25-year-old ocean-front home was in need of a refresh. When the owner called he initially said they just wanted new furniture and some paint. But after we met and discussed further, I found out how they wanted to live and realized what they needed was a complete whole house full renovation - with their contemporary art collection to take center stage in the home re-design. They said they wanted to warm up the spaces, but they also wanted all the upholstered furniture to be white and did not want to change the original cold stone floors on the ground level. To give them what they wanted, we put warm solid walnut wood floors on the ceiling (!) in the living area and luscious hand-made rugs on the floors. Upstairs we added plenty of warm wood floors, custom tiles in all the bathrooms and still kept it modern and fresh.
